Hydrotherapy

Swimming is a non weight bearing, zero or low impact form of exercise

The hydrotherapy pool is heated to between 28-30°C for optimum comfort.

Hydrotherapy is also used in patients with weak limbs or neurological conditions to improve and increase their active range of motion.

It helps to build and improve muscle mass and is great for mental stimulation too.

With regular sessions cardiovascular fitness and stamina can also be improved.

A few of the conditions referred to us by local vets are:

  • Hip/elbow dysplasia,
  • Osteoarthritis,
  • Patella luxation,
  • Hip replacement,
  • Triple pevic osteotomy
